ABOUT KATE SHAW

Hey there! My name is Kate, and I’m a makeup artist living in Indianapolis and working throughout the Midwest. I began my career as a freelance artist nearly 15 years ago. I got my start honing my skills as an assistant to one of the top makeup artists in the region, and in the years that followed have had the pleasure of experiencing so many different facets of makeup artistry— with work featured in feature films, live television, print ads, music videos, regional commercials, national magazines, working with clients before a speaking engagement or red carpet event, glamming hundreds of wedding parties, working backstage at New York Fashion Week, and creating editorial beauty looks in collaboration with photographers and other creatives that I admire. I’m passionate about inclusivity in the beauty industry, and bring a collaborative spirit, a wealth of knowledge, an eagerness to learn from other creative professionals, and a warm enthusiasm for my craft to each job I book. I am honored to be considered as you build a team for your project.
